My name is Joshua I Kaplan, and this is my gallery. I note the middle initial due to the number of other Josh Kaplans that do creative stuff, none of whom sport an I in the middle, to the best of my knowledge. I'm also Pappydada for the fishing silliness. Herein are a collection of things of which I authored and consider art and wish to share. I have dabbled in illustration, the rendering of stories and essays, and song writing, and If you are one of those rarest of folk who have even read this far, I thank you, sincerely. this site is organized to be to be as simple as possible, all flat html, no scrolling banners or dancing bears or whatever. No commerce, no trade, just me sharing what i do. The links at the top of the page will take you to my work. I hope you like it. About Me, lately I'm a tired, beat up old man that, besides the art stuff already mentioned, loves fishing, the NBA, and model rockets, and lately I've been drawing cartoons. Started with fish gags, then was doing birds, and now i've gone on to food jokes. Got a bunch to share, so the plan is to keep going with the daily comic as long as i have new stuff to post. Feb 3, 2026 Sixers beat the Clippers last night, without James Harden, who is apparently being dealt to Cleveland. Tonight the Sixers play again, this time it's the Golden State Warriors in Frisco.
